Static Jones is a Minneapolis rock band that plays a mix of original songs and covers on which they put their own twist.
Their style is probably best described as Americana/Indie Rock. Their music has a fun, approachable and familiar sound that gets in to your bones. Comprised of veterans of both the Minneapolis and Cincinnati music scene, Static Jones is a five piece band that has the experience to know when to hold back, and when to let loose. They have embraced the art of storytelling, set to well-crafted music – sprinkling in a dash of comfort and serving it hot to the listener’s palate.

On Thursdays, July 13 / 20 / 27 Victors Lounge will host The Minnesota Tango Society and Loisa Donnay for Argentine style Tango instruction and dancing. Each evening starts with a 7:30 pm lesson, after which everyone will dance from 8:00 to 10:30. Come to learn, come to dance, or come just to eat, drink and enjoy.. The tango is an exciting and sensuous dance. It is also a fun way to meet new people . Enjoy a unique evening at “The Lounge at Victor’s”. Come with a partner or come alone as you will meet people at the lesson to dance with. Wine and cocktails along with a limited menu will be available. Cover charge is $5.00
Slated for Thursday, August 24th Victor’s on Vinyl will celebrate the incomparable Michael Jackson. In 1979, just before Michael’s 21st birthday he teamed for the first time with producer Quincy Jones. The result was his first solo album, an album that changed the music industry forever, “Off The Wall”. This exuberant upbeat masterpiece shows Michael’s passionate sensuality when collaborating with Jones. “Off The Wall” was the first in their partnership and set the record for the most singles from an album to reach Billboard’s top 10. We will be featuring the album in its entirety on Thursday evening August 24, 2017.
Presenting this American classic will be music industry legend and senior executive with Epic records, the man who moved Jackson 5 from Motown to Epic Records and then launched Michael’s solo career, Ron Alexenburg. Ron’s music industry insight, humor and intimate stories will make for an evening of pure entertainment.
Professional saxophonist, multi-instrumentalist, educator, arranger, mentor and music producer, Walter Chancellor has been a mainstay in the Twin Cities contemporary Jazz and R&B music scene for the past 20 years. After constant touring during his formative years he decided to relocate to musically successful Minneapolis from Des Moines, Iowa and lesson the necessity of so much traveling to perform. Not long after his arrival in Minneapolis, Walter performed and recorded with Prince, earning a platinum record for his participation on Prince’s “Emancipation” CD. Additionally, Walter has performed and recorded with Chaka Khan, Bobby Lyle, Maceo Parker, Candy Dulfer, Musiq Soulchild, Larry Graham, Cameo, The Pointer Sisters, The Platters, Producer Jack Douglas and noted record producer Andre Fischer just to name a few.
SmithNThompson is a duo from Minnetonka Minnesota. Collin Smith and Tyler Thompson were both born in 1989, and have been friends since 6th grade. Collin and Tyler got into the studio in early 2015 and starting making a cool new style of music that we now call “HipAcoustic”. Although both artists have different music influences in the past, they blended those as the music started to flow, to create a unique sound. The first album “Trouble” was written, produced, composed and arranged by Thompson and Smith with programming by Rob Genedek.
